Eligible Breeds

Black Wagyu

黒毛和種 · Kuroge Washu

The most widely recognized Wagyu breed, known for exceptional marbling and the famous A5 grade. Registered with AmWA, AuWA or AAA.

Akaushi

赤毛和種 · Akage Washu

The commercial cattleman's Wagyu — efficient, high-marbling cattle with great growth. The beef is known for being heart healthy, rich in omega-3s. Registered with AAA, AmWA or AuWA.

Composite

合成品種

Purpose-bred composites with documented Wagyu genetics. Must be at least 50% Wagyu blood. Registered with AuWA, AAA or AmWA.

Percentage

パーセント和牛

Crossbred cattle with greater than 46.75% documented Wagyu genetics. Registered with AAA, AuWA or AmWA.
